rustic floral // baby shower

this has to be one of my all-time favorites! we were inspired by the venue and did a rustic floral theme to go with the restaurant decor, incorporating doilies, wood and florals in pink, orange and mint. we did invitations, thank you cards, book inserts, namecards, favor tags and signage. my client decorated with burlap & lace, doilies, and flowers in assorted vintage vases to complete the look.

fit for a king // baby shower

laura is one of my favorite clients... she always has great ideas and throws the most amazing parties! so naturally, for her baby shower (thrown by her friends) it needed to be good. i brainstormed with the hostesses, and we came up with a "royal" theme, playing off the baby's name. of course we had to use metallic gold envelopes and rich blue colors (because this mama hates pastels!). in addition to the invitations, thank you cards & labels, we did some signage and favor tags, which were fastened to burlap bags with bath goodies. how cute are those little crown cookies?!

i had so much fun working on this rock & roll themed baby shower! we really tried hard to keep it cool (and not cheesy), so when my client told me one of the husbands said the invitation looked "awesome"?? mission accomplished. 

we made the invitations look like concert tickets, the address wraps like VIP wristbands, and incorporated different sayings and songs throughout the stickers and signage.

two peas in a pod // twin baby shower

my brother and sister-in-law will be welcoming twin girls in a couple months! i had the privilege of doing the invitations, and the theme was "two peas in a pod" so i created a simple little pea graphic in a peach and green color scheme with a geometric pattern. my sister was in charge of the dessert table... doesn't it look incredible? and the desserts were as delicious as they were beautiful.

troop simpson // camping themed baby shower

this baby shower was inspired by the expecting couples' nursery.  when i saw their adorable nursery decor with its rustic style, stripes, and neutral colors with pops of yellow... i thought a camping theme would be perfect. luckily, my client did too! we started with a "troop simpson" logo, then created signage, stickers, wishes for baby stickers for the book station, and thank you cards.

my mother-in-law threw me a baby shower back in february and asked if i wanted to do the invitations. i know that may seem weird to some, but i actually love when i get the chance to design something for myself or my kids! i decided to stick with the theme and colors of the nursery, and since we didn't reveal bishop's name until he was born, we stuck with the letter B!

fiesta // baby shower

vanessa is one of my favorite clients because she always has great ideas & is extremely organized. plus she is super sweet! she contacted me a few months ago to help her with paper goods for a fiesta-themed baby shower. the mama-to-be LOVES all things mexico & monkey, so we incorporated both... and it was perfect since the shower was the weekend before cinco de mayo. 

we did a papel picado theme (with a pop of monkey!) in pinks, orange and turquoise. i contacted my friend sarah at yarn bombed antlers, and she whipped up some awesome yarn-bombed maracas that were used as party favors, attached to mini bottles of patron. we did invitations, thank you cards, address labels, wishes for baby stickers for the book station, menus, and a banner! it turned out amazing!

once again, my client came to me with an awesome vision for her son's first birthday party. we stuck with a newspaper theme and used a combination of kraft, black and an off-white textured paper for invitations, thank you cards, favor tags, prints & an oversized kraft menu. i am blown away by the pics & so glad i could be a part!

floral & stripe birth announcement

jamie loved payton's birth announcement, so she wanted to do something similar for her beautiful new baby, harmony. we also created an address wrap to match and incorporated a couple verses that are special to the family.

southern (california) gentleman baby shower

since this mommy-to-be is from louisiana (but now lives in sunny so cal with her hubby), her friends wanted to throw her a southern california gentleman themed shower! we incorporated bow ties, mustaches and a chalkboard texture in shades of turquoise, green and gray. we covered all the bases with invitations, address wraps & labels, thank you cards, wishes for baby cards, stickers and a pennant-style banner! i love how it all came together.

floral & chevron birth announcement

                                

i have worked with kristen on a few projects, so when her baby girl was born, i was excited because i knew she'd have great ideas for the birth announcement!  she sent me a few inspiration images- one of which was this gorgeous chevron cake. both of us loved the color scheme and the mix of florals with a bold, graphic chevron, so we based little payton's announcement on that!

sawyer's birth announcement

you may remember baby sawyer from this post.  after ashley posted all 5 options and got tons of feedback from her readers, she decided to go with the chevron design.  she sent me a new photo to use, so we revised the colors and composition just a bit, to work better with the new image.

i also surprised ashley with some return address wraps to simplify the addressing and continue the design on the envelope.
