traci asked if i could turn this notecard into an invitation for her daughter's flamingo-themed party! i was happy to oblige. we kept it budget-friendly by doing printable invitations that she could print herself at home. 

how do printables work, you ask? i send a print-ready pdf with 2 invitations per page, with crop makes and sizing information, all on an 8.5 x 11" page. it's a great way to save money so you can spend it on things like sprinkle donuts!! :)

one of my favorite things is getting these little questionnaires from the kids' school & seeing how they really view me (though it can be eye-opening at times!) a couple years ago i made a fun little printable for father's day, so i figured it was time to make one for the moms & grandmas!

you can click on the images or right-click and save the attachment. the card is sized to 5 x 7" and will fit into a standard a-7 envelope.

a couple years ago i shared a printable "thankfulness card" and i loved seeing so many of you use it yourself and/or with your kids. this year i thought i would offer a new design so you could let others know why you are thankful for them.

you can download the printable notecard HERE.

STEP 1: simply print at 100% onto letter-sized paper (preferably 100-lb cardstock) and trim down to the size indicated by the crop marks.

STEP 2: fill out your cards and let someone know you are thankful for them!

STEP 3: if you feel so inclined... post a pic on instagram and tag with #thanksriverandbridge

STEP 4: let's all GIVE THANKS for the wonderful things in our lives. no matter how tough life may get, there is always something to be grateful for.

red balloons for ryan

This morning I was heartbroken to discover that my friend Jacqui & her husband Dan had lost their little boy, Ryan, in a tragic accident over the weekend.  I worked with Jacqui on her wedding invitations last year, and though I never met her in person, the love for her son was infectious.  Her Instagram feed is evidence of that.

Jacqui shared her story with Alissa & asked that people would honor his memory by sharing his photo with the hashtag #redballoonsforryan.  It has been amazing to see my social media feeds flooded with his sweet, red curls.  I can't imagine the heartbreak Jacqui & Dan are experiencing right now, and all we can do is pray for them, encourage them, and hug our loved ones a little tighter.

I created this little notecard in Ryan's honor.  Feel free to download it and send a note to Jacqui & Dan, or just to let someone know you love them.  A P.O. Box is being set up for the Saldanas right now- I will share the info as soon as I can.

i saw this idea on pinterest (original source here) and thought it would be fun to do this with hudson, so i made my own design and changed up some of the text.

i've been following the amazing girls at small fry for a little while now, so i was excited when they asked me to work with them on some free printables for teacher appreciation week.  i love the gifts they came up with to accompany my cards (especially the chocolate-covered pretzel idea!!)

thankfulness cards // free printable

this year i thought it would be great to have my 4-year-old son write notes to his classmates, telling them why he was thankful for them. i created this little feather card for him to fill out. we did half of the class last night, and already this morning, he was asking if we could please do more cards tonight! we just wrote simple things like "she is funny" and "he likes to race with me" but i think it's so important to teach kids to be thankful and appreciate people and things.
